You can send bitcoin or cash to any email address or SatTag. You can also send bitcoin to any valid bitcoin address.
How to Send Bitcoin or Cash
First, enable two-factor authentication if you have not yet done so. To set this up, go to the Settings page, choose Privacy & Security, and follow the steps.
Next, navigate to Send Money. On desktop, it can be found in the Move Money menu. On mobile, it can be accessed by the green shortcut buttons on the dashboard.
Select whether you want to send bitcoin or cash.
Enter the amount of bitcoin or cash you'd like to send.
Next, enter the recipient information:
- For bitcoin, enter an email, SatTag, or bitcoin address. We recommend copying and pasting the bitcoin address.
- For cash, enter an email or SatTag.
Enter the two-factor authentication code from your authenticator app.
When will the bitcoin or cash arrive?
The recipient will receive the funds instantly if they have a SatTag or are sent to an email address associated with a Coinbits account. If they are not a Coinbits member, they will receive an email invitation to join. Once they sign up, the funds will be available in their new account. If they don't claim it within 14 days, the transaction will be canceled at no charge to you.
Bitcoin sent to a bitcoin address typically takes less than an hour to arrive. In some cases, it may take up to one business day.
